Oil Tempered Chrome Silicon Wire for commercial use
ASTM A401
Used for high impact, high shock load, and moderately high temperature applications. Often used in Automotive and aerospace applications as well as general spring making. Chrome silicon can be used at temperatures up to 50 degrees F higher than chrome vanadium. The presence of chromium in the alloy increases the hardness of the material and improves its tensile strength.
This wire can also be supplied to higher than specified tensiles ranges for your specific application.
